Office redesign for Jotun Paints, Glasgow.
Jotun Paints approached us with a clear goal: transform their Glasgow office into a space that reflects their global brand, while offering a more functional, welcoming environment for their team and visitors alike.
The existing space lacked cohesion and didn’t showcase the company’s professional identity. They were looking for a design that not only improved layout and usability, but also subtly embedded brand personality, creating a space that felt considered, confident and completely on-brand.
Four moves that transformed the space.
We took inspiration directly from Jotun’s strong brand identity, integrating it through carefully curated finishes, signage and colour choices, including a striking frosted manifestation of their iconic penguin logo.
To define zones without compromising natural light or openness, we introduced crittall-style glazed partitioning. This allowed us to create a new meeting room and private office while keeping the overall space feeling light, bright, and modern.
We specified a cool yet understated palette throughout, slatted timber wall cladding, soft grey carpet tiles and bold navy wall panelling. These layered elements add depth, improve acoustics and elevate the overall atmosphere.
Every piece of furniture was carefully selected and supplied by our team, including boardroom chairs with subtle yellow accents to mirror the brand, a statement navy table and practical storage that blends effortlessly with the space.
The finished office is a calm, contemporary space that reflects Jotun’s professionalism while providing a more functional layout for meetings and daily operations.
The branded elements feel considered and confident, not just added, but integrated. It’s a space that feels like Jotun from the moment you walk in.
It was a pleasure to work with Ollie and Kyle of District Four, from the initial concept design stage through to the installation of our new office.
We really appreciated how Ollie & Kyle understood our requirements and how they delivered a design that captured our corporate identity.
Making existing space work harder.
A workplace should feel like the business it belongs to, without needing a logo on every wall. For Jotun, the opportunity was to bring their global brand identity into the Glasgow office in a way that felt considered rather than overly corporate. Subtle references through colour, furniture, finishes and graphics were combined with a reworked layout that introduced dedicated meeting and private working spaces without sacrificing natural light. The project shows how brand and functionality can work together, creating a workplace that is recognisably Jotun while still being a calm, practical and welcoming environment for the people using it every day.
Where we started.
